Over several decades,FRED HERSCH has built an influential career as a bandleader, solo performer, and composer, writing dozens of original works and recording more than 60 albums. He is a multiple Grammy nominee (17 times) and has received major honors including a Guggenheim Fellowship. Known for his lyrical, expressive style and innovative approach to solo piano, he has also been an important teacher, influencing prominent jazz musicians such as Brad Mehldau.
